In keeping with its commitment to being an active corporate

within its Community Investment Program to focus on "the family unit," said
Fran Inman, executive vice president. "Families are the backbone of our
neighborhoods so we felt it was important to develop community outreach
programs to help nurture and develop family relationships—especially the
parent-child bond."
The Silverton Family Appreciation Program will incorporate "Positive
Parenting Seminars" and a "Take Your Child to Lunch" program. Additionally,
Silverton will present a "Volunteer of the Year" Award at an annual dinner,
where the company will provide recognition to employees who volunteer in
the community in any youth organization. Prizes will include a free family
trip to Disneyland.
