Tanasbourne West - Hillsboro, OR
"From bananas to silk blouses, diamond rings to circular saws–you
can find them all under one roof at a full-size Fred Meyer Stores, Inc."
In the growing west side community of Hillsboro, Oregon, the newest
Fred Meyer store–to be located in the Tanasbourne West development–is sure to live up
to this promise. At 172,000-sq. ft., the Hillsboro Fred Meyer store is one of the
largest in the chain. The grand opening festivities took place on April 18th and was
enjoyed by all those in the surrounding communities.
Also signing on as tenants in the 1st phase of Tanasbourne West
are West Coast Bank and several well-known restaurants and eateries, including
Starbuck's and Jack in the Box. Other tenant negotiations are underway with
announcements to be made in the fourth quarter of 2001.
Phase II of the project is expected to include hoteliers,
retailers, restaurants and service-oriented tenants, all aimed at meeting the
needs of the booming local population. In fact, computer chip maker Intel
Corporation recently broke ground on a 400,000-sq. ft. research-and-development
facility in the Hillsboro area. Intel employs over 14,000 people within a 5
mile radius from our site.
"The retail, commercial and residential growth of our
community has been tremendous," said Dave Lawrence, Hillsboro Deputy City
Manager. "This development will be a beneficial addition to this dynamic
neighborhood."
