Grand Crossing - City of Industry, CA
In Majestic Realty’s hometown of Industry, CA, a highly anticipated development
is under construction. Grand Crossing, a 400-acre business park will feature 6.4 million sq. ft.
of industrial space and 200,000-sq. ft. of space for big box retail at build-out.
To be developed in six phases, Grand Crossing will include 25 state-of-the-art
buildings. Already, company officials report a whirlwind of leasing activity in Phase I, where
construction is nearing completion and many high-profile tenants have signed leases.
Kelly Paper Co. leased 170,000-sq. ft. of space to serve as the company’s
headquarters and national distribution center. Steelcase, Inc., a maker of fine office furnishings,
occupies 450,000-sq. ft. of space, which serves as its regional offices, as well as a manufacturing
and distribution facility. Officials from both companies cited Grand Crossing’s competitive pricing
and strategic location in their decisions to lease space there. Kelly Paper moved to City of
Industry from Los Angeles and Steelcase relocated from Tustin, CA.
Other Leasing highlights included:
- SYNNEX Information Technologies signed a $1.7 million lease for 70,000
sq. ft. of space at Grand Crossing. Founded in 1980 and headquartered in Fremont, CA., SYNNEX is
a global IT supply-chain services company providing a comprehensive range of design-to-distribution
services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and technology solution providers worldwide. The
company has strong expertise in IT distribution, electronics manufacturing and logistics services.
SYNNEX works with leading industry suppliers in PCs and servers, motherboards, CPUs, memory, storage,
networking, communication and component products.
- W.A.C. Lighting Co., a leading manufacturer of track and recessed lighting, signed a lease for
50,000-sq. ft. valued at $1.3 million. Founded in 1984 as a supplier of lamps and lighting products,
W.A.C. Lighting has grown into one of the industry's premier manufacturer and designer of innovative
track, under-cabinet and down lighting.
- Additionally, IN WIN Development (USA) Inc., signed a $1.3 million lease for 50,000-sq. ft.
Established in 1986, IN WIN is recognized as a pioneer in the development and manufacturing of
computer cases.
Situated on the largest remaining parcel of vacant land in City of Industry,
right in the heart of Southern California, Grand Crossing offers prime rates for shipping and
receiving from the Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach, as well as convenient access to the Pomona
(60), San Gabriel (605) and Orange (57) freeways. Notably, the park also sits adjacent to a
Metrolink station, providing convenient transit options to San Bernardino and downtown Los Angeles.
